In an effort to bring to life DASH athletes’ journey to the Olympic Trials 2022 DASH is partnering with Milwaukee based Premier Headshots. Paul Hanon, the man behind the camera, specializes in bringing out a person’s inner bravery and confidence needed in a 21st century headshot. His talents extend beyond a studio setting.

In the coming months Paul will also be snapping photos at some of our upcoming events like the time trials this past Saturday at the Pettit National Ice Center and our upcoming “Skate with Olympians” night taking place on November 26th (time TBD). DASH’s Chief Business Officer, Michael J. Salm, had this to say about the partnership, “Wisconsin has such a rich history of Olympic Speedskating excellence, we are extremely excited to be partnering with Paul to capture the next chapter coming out of the Pettit National Ice Center!”

As it stands, DASH has 7 athletes qualified to compete at the 2022 US Speedskating Long Track Olympic Trials. What makes this year so exciting for the Milwaukee-based athletes is that the Olympic Trials are being hosted right here at the Pettit National Ice Center, January 5-9, 2022. Paul Hannon, photographer and founder of Premier Headshots had this to say, “Milwaukee is hot right now! The Bucks won the NBA championship, the Brewers are crushing it...and the next generation of Olympians are training to represent the United States of America at the games right here. The energy behind this is powerful. The DASH team is an impressive group of people; I’m very excited for the work we’re doing together in our partnership!”

Beyond the Olympic Trials, DASH is looking to drive the development of the next generation of great American speedskaters. “We are super excited by the collaboration we are seeing in Milwaukee to support this endeavor. Reengaging 7 of America’s speedskating Olympic gold medalists as members of our advisory board provides the lived experience and vision needed to build an organization that will ensure Milwaukee will continue to produce Olympic speedskaters long into the future,” DASH President and 4-time Olympian, Dave Cruikshank.

Michael Salm had this to add, “Another facet of DASH is our focus on the longitudinal support of our athletes, we want them to be champions on the ice and in their lives.” Chad Hedrick, Olympic gold medalist and DASH board member said it best, “We want to not only help them excel as athletes, but also be able to develop good humans. Good men and women that understand what it takes to be successful in anything in life.”
