2023 DASH Summer Inline Skating Series

LET'S GET SKATING!
2024 Summer Inline Skating Series!

Have some fun and learn how to GO FAST this summer! If you can skate, you can speedskate!

Speedskating is a life long sport. Whether you are new to inlining or have been doing it for years it is a great workout and fantastic cross-training tool for other sports!

Ages 5-19 (must be able to skate unassisted)

Wednesday Evenings

June: 19, 26

July: 10, 17, 24, 31

August: 7, & 14 (Olympic Night!)

Location: Frank Lloyd Wright Intermediate School Paved Track (Corner of 92nd & Cleveland)

Registration: $50

Deadline to signup is June 1, 2024

Equipment needed:

  • Inline Skates (any kind)

  • Helmet

  • Knee Pads

  • Wrist Guards

DASH Club Program (Ages 5-19*)
*Must be able to skate unassisted

When: Season: Oct 14, 2024 - March 1, 2025 

Monday and Wednesday 5:30-7:00pm 

With select Racing on the weekends at the Pettit Center

No Training: Nov. 27,  Dec 25 - Jan 1

 

Cost: $475

Includes: All practice session ice time + As many On Your Own Speedskating Training Session Passes as you want.  Dash Racing Skinsuit 

*Members have the option of season speedskate rental for $50.00

Parents Meeting & Skate Fitting

Sunday Oct 6, 4pm @ Pettit 

 

Equipment Needed:

  • Your own speedskates or season long rental from DASH for $50

  • Helmet

  • Gloves

  • Gym Shoes for off ice warmup

  • Ankle cut proof sleeves (~$25)

  • Hard Skate Guards to walk on & off the ice (~$20)

  • *NEW USS REQUIREMENT* Cut Proof Skinsuit for all skaters participating in pack races (~$200)

DASH Junior Program (Ages 13-19)

This program is designed for those Junior age skaters looking to take that next step into their speedskating training and competing, but also engaged in other activities besides speedskating.

When: 10 month program June - March 

Summer Training Beginning June 17- August 28

Monday and Wednesday 9:30-11:30am unless otherwise noted 

 

In Season: Beginning September 4 - March 6 

Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 4:00-6:00pm 

What’s included: coaching at practices and competitions that are listed, racing skin suit, education on sharpening, nutrition, becoming an athlete at the next level, skater reports and individual meeting.

 

Requirements: Must be USS Junior C age or older (must be 13 years of age before July 1)

Must have Junior Am Cup Time Standard or Coaches discretion

DASH Junior Elite Program

(Ages 14-19)

This program is designed for those skaters who want to make the full commitment to speedskating as their primary sport. This training program is for those wanting to make a junior world team and further in their career world and Olympic team. 

 

When: 10 month program June - March 

Summer:  Beginning June 10 - Aug 23

Monday - Thursday 9:30 -11:30am unless otherwise noted 

In Season: Beginning Sept 3 - March 6

Monday - Thursday @ 4:00pm and weekend competitions

What’s Included: coaching at practices and competitions that are listed, education on skates, nutrition, training opportunities with the senior elite team, skater reports, video and individual meetings 3x season, racing skin suit 

 

What’s required: 90% attendance rate, we know things come up like school requirements, illness or family engagements we would just like to be communicated to, to make proper arrangements. 

  • DASH Time Standards Ladies: 500 - 42.50; Men - 40.50

  • Must be 14 years of age or older

  • Coach discretion is final when determining  Junior Elite Team spots

  • Good communication from skaters to coaching staff when missing sessions, leaving early, or arriving late, is an expectation

At various times throughout the year DASH offers free or reduced price opportunities for kids to try speedskating!

These sessions are coached by our Director of Youth Development, Leah Lambert, Olympians, Junior World Team members, Masters World Champions, and our High-Performance Skaters.
